ANKARA, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- The Turkish military has killed four Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) members in southeastern province of Sirnak, an official statement said early Friday.
After an drone located five militants in the Guclukonak district of Sirnak Province, attack helicopters launched airstrike in the area, the Sirnak Governor's Office said in a statement.
At least four of the five militants were killed by the air forces during the ongoing operation in the early hours of Friday.
On Thursday, seven PKK members were killed during airstrikes in Turkey's southeastern province of Sirnak and eastern province of Agri, according to a statement issued by the Turkish General Staff.
The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and the EU, resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015 after a brief reconciliation period.
