BRATISLAVA, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- The biggest security risk currently faced by Slovakia are Neo-Nazism and right-wing extremism, Slovak President Andrej Kiska announced here Wednesday during a visit to the Jewish Religious Society.

Kiska specifically called out Marian Kotleba and his far-right People's Party Our Slovakia (LSNS).

"It's up to us all to expose what's hiding behind Kotleba, to talk publicly about how twisted it is to hate someone just because their beliefs, race, or skin colour is different," said Kiska.

He also recollected the words of an Auschwitz survivor, who said: "We mustn't let our past become our future," and pointed out the importance of discussing the issue with young people.

"It's important to find communication channels that won't make young people feel as if we're talking about a distant past that has no bearing on them. We must make it clear what kind of danger Kotleba represents for Slovakia and its future in Europe, and alert them to the fact that instead of a modern, open country, Slovakia could turn into an isolated island of evil and hatred," added Kiska.
