Dollar changes hands in upper 109 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 109 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Monday.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 109.80-82 yen compared with 110.19-29 yen in New York and 110.17-19 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1881-1882 dollars and 130.47-48 yen against 1.1855-1865 dollars and 130.79-89 yen in New York and 1.1885-1886 dollars and 130.94-98 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
