LONDON, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.87 percent, or 64.03 points, to close at 7,337.43 points.
Randgold Resources, a gold mining business, soared 4.56 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Fresnillo and Anglo American increased by 2.59 percent and 1.05 percent, respectively.
ITV,a British media company , was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.91 percent. Wm Morrison Supermarkets, one of UK's largest supermarkets, dropped 3.70 percent. Smurfit Kappa Group, a world leader in paper-based packagin, fell 2.94 percent. Enditem
