Hong Kong stocks close 1.20 pct higher

HONG KONG, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 329.56 points, or 1.20 percent, to 27,848.16 points on Friday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 27,480.11 and 27,878.37. Turnover totaled 115.30 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 14.74 billion U.S. dollars).
