TEHRAN, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Iran's capital Tehran is set to host an international glass industry exhibition from August 23 to 26.
Iranian companies and representatives from France, Italy, Germany and China will showcase production lines, raw material processing and production machinery at Tehran's First International Exhibition of Glass and Related Industries.
Producers of bulletproof, building facade glass as well as crystal ware will also be present at the event, Financial Tribune daily reported.
Iran exports 40 percent of its glass products to Persian Gulf littoral states, Central Asia and Europe, Fardad Maqanti, the manager of exhibition, was quoted as saying.
Presently, 10 large glass factories in Iran produce 450,000 square meters of glass per day, according to the report.
