FRANKFURT, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Two people died, including the pilot, in an aircraft crash on Tuesday in southwestern Germany, German media reported, citing local police.

Some wreckage from the aircraft and human remains have been found, the police said.

The single--engine aircraft crashed around 11:50 a.m. local time (0950 GMT) in Lake Constance in southwestern Germany, and sank in water 60 meters deep.

The small airplane was reportedly on the way from Zurich, Switzerland to Hamburg, Germany before it disappeared off the radar of the air traffic control center, according to local media Suedkurier.

The salvage of the wreck is expected to take several days due to the depth of the waters.
