SARAJEVO, Aug.2 (Xinhua) -- The Federal Institute for Hydrometeorology (FHMZ BiH) issues red alert for Herzegovina, south part of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Wednesday due to extremely high temperature, official website said.

During the day, there will be few clouds and the wind will be weak to medium, blowing from the west and southwest. In Sarajevo, the highest day temperature will reach about 34 degrees Celsius.

It will be mostly sunny in BiH this week, with the highest day temperature between 32 and 38 degrees Celsius, and up to 41 degrees Celsius in the south, FHMZ BiH said.

The orange warning issued on July 30, is still in effect and will remain such until August 6.

FHMZ BiH advices residents to depart in the early morning or later afternoon hours and, if travelling during the day, to make frequent stops.
