Dollar changes hands in upper 111 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, July 20 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 111 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday, marginally lower than levels seen in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 111.86-87 yen compared with 111.94-112.04 yen in New York and 112.14-15 yen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1528-1529 dollars and 128.96-97 yen against 1.1510-1520 dollars and 128.83-93 yen in New York and 1.1520-1521 dollars and 129.19-23 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
