PARIS, July 18 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 1.09 percent, or 56.90 points, to close at 5,173.27 points.
37 of the 40 selected large companies lost in the day.
Mobile phone maker Nokia tumbled 3.31 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French tire manufacturer Michelin was down 2.36 percent. Belgian chemical company Solvay lost 1.71 percent.
Commercial property investor Unibail-Rodamco rose 0.65 percent, the top gainer of the day. French multinational information technology consulting corporation Cap Gemini gained 0.28 percent. French multinational electric utility company Engie S.A. was up 0.04 percent. Enditem
