LOS ANGELES, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Rosa Dominguez, a 19-year-old girl, has won more than 655,000 U.S. dollars after scratching lottery tickets two times in different places in one week, Calottery.Com reported Monday.
Calottery.com, the official website of the state-run California State Lottery, said that the first win happened when she was driving home from Arizona, made a pit-stop at a Paso Robles gas station and bought a few scratchers, one of which, a 5-dollars ticket, helped her winning the top prize of 555,555 U.S. dollars.
The second win happened a few days later when Dominguez stopped at a Greenfield gas station in Monterey County and bought a 5-dollar Lucky Fortune scratcher. When she scratched that ticket, she found another top prize of 100,000 U.S. dollars.
"I was so nervous I just wanted to cry," she told Calottery.com, adding that she wanted to go shopping and buy a new car.
