BRUSSELS, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Thirty suspects were arrested in an investigation targeting a criminal group involved in international drug trafficking, the European Police Office (Europol) said Wednesday.
Over 330 police officers from Germany, Italy, Spain joined the investigation, supported by Europol.
35 house were searches and assets worth of 5 million euros (5.7 million U.S. dollars) were seized in several European countries.
The investigation revealed that the organized crime group were trafficking drugs and laundering the criminal profits by using shell companies and different financial schemes.
