JAKARTA, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian rescuers have sent a black box of a helicopter which went down on Sunday and killed all eight people on board to its manufacturer in France, top official of rescue office disclosed here on Wednesday.
The helicopter operated by the national search and rescue office hit a hill in Canggal village of Temanggung district in Central Java province while carrying a mission to help the victims of the steam eruption of Dieng volcano.
"We have sent the black box to its factory in France. Because only its factory can read the transcript of the communication in the black box," Head National Search and Rescue Office Muhammad Syaugi said at the parliament building.
Syaugi said that the transcript of the last communication between the pilot and the co-pilot would be received within about two weeks.
Four crews and four rescuers from the search and rescue office were killed in the incident, according to a spokesman of the office.
