Hong Kong stocks close 1.53 pct lower

HONG KONG, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed down 395.16 points, or 1.53 percent, to 25,389.01 points on Tuesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 25,251.72 and 25,838.27. Turnover totaled 98.87 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 12.67 billion U.S. dollars).
