SKOPJE, June 30 (Xinhua) -- The industrial production volume in Macedonia registered 0.6 percent annual growth in the first five months of 2017, State Statistical Office here informed Friday.
On monthly terms, industrial production volume increased by 9.2 percent in May over the same month in 2016, data showed.
According to statistical office, the industrial production in section mining and quarrying increased by 7.7 pct, in section manufacturing it increased by 8.8 pct, while in section electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 13.8 pct.
Meanwhile, according to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry rose by 1 pct in May 2017, in comparison with May 2016.
While the index of the number of employees in industry in the period January to May 2017 increased by 0.5 pct over the same period of last year. Enditem
