TEHRAN, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday condemned the recent terrorist attack on a crowd of worshippers outside a mosque in the British capital London, Press TV reported.
"Violence and extremism are deplorable and unacceptable everywhere," the Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said.
He expressed sympathy with the British people and the bereaved families of the victims and stressed the importance of remaining vigilant and adopting significant measures against terrorism.
A man drove a van into a crowd of worshippers outside a mosque in north London around midnight Monday. The vehicle crashed pedestrians near Finsbury Park Mosque as they left Ramadan night prayers.
At least one was killed and 10 others were injured in the attack.
