Dollar changed hands in upper 109 yen in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, June 8 (Xinhua) --The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 109 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday, largely unchanged from levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 109.91-92 yen compared with 109.78-88 yen in New York and 109.29-31 yen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1256-1256 dollars and 123.72-73 yen against 1.1249-1259 dollars and 123.60-70 yen in New York and 1.1253-1254 dollars and 122.99-123.03 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
