FRANKFURT, June 7 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 17.63 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 12,672.49 points.
European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.19 percent. Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer went down by 1.08 percent and 1.02 percent, respectively.
Energy group E.ON won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 5.89 percent. Energy group RWE and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies rose by 5.57 percent and 1.52 percent respectively.
E.ON was the most-traded share with a turnover of 392.12 million euros (439.84 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
