PARIS, June 6 (Xinhua) -- A fresh survey released on Tuesday predicted French President Emmanuel Macron's party "Republic On the Move (LREM)" on track to comfortably win the two-round parliamentary competition set to kick off on Sunday.

An Ipsos Sopra-Steria poll found that the novice centrist movement would emerge as the largest party with 385 to 415 seats out of the 577 seats in the lower house of parliament.

Centrist and conservative parties would win about 105 to 125 seats, followed by the Socialist Party whose candidates were set to come out ahead in up to 35 constituencies.

As for the far-right party National Front (FN), it would gain 15 to 25 seats, the pollster's data showed.

In the legislative election's first round on June 11, LREM candidates were projected to lead the vote with 29.5 percent. The Republicans and the FN which each want to form a strong opposition, were at 23 percent and 17 percent. The Socialists and their allies trailed behind with 8.5 percent of the vote.

The survey also found that 68 percent of 2,103 respondents said they were sure of their choice. Those supporting candidates of the centrist movement rose to 75 percent, up by four percentage points from figures released at the end of May.

According to the foreign ministry's data, in 10 out of 11 foreign constituencies, LREM came first after French nationals living abroad cast their ballots on June 3 and 4.

Of the LREM's 428 candidates, 214 are women.

Half of the contenders who joined the LREM party for the June legislative election are from civil society and have never held an elected post.

An absolute majority in the National Assembly is 289 seats.
