Bahrain says severing ties with Qatar

MANAMA, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Bahrain has decided to cut diplomatic relations with Qatar, according to a statement carried by Bahrain's official news agency on Monday.

The brief statement accuses Qatar of backing terrorism and interfering in Bahrain's internal affairs.
