KUNDUZ, Afghanistan, June 4 (Xinhua) -- At least four civilians, including a child, were injured as mortar shells fired by militants slammed into the northern Afghan city of Kunduz on Sunday, police said.
"The enemies fired eight mortar mines and all landed on residential areas in Kunduz city today morning, injuring at least four civilians including a 10-year-old school boy," police spokesman Inamudin Rahmani told Xinhua.
The official, however, did not provide further details.
A similar attack by militants on Kunduz city, 250 km north of Kabul, killed two civilians and injured nine others a few days ago.
