BEIJING, May 27 (Xinhua) -- China's all-conquering diving team named its squad for the world swimming championships which will take place in Budapest from July 14 to 30.
Olympic champions Shi Tingmao, Chen Aisen, Cao Yuan and Ren Qian will spearhead the 17-strong team at the biennially-held event. And youngsters like Chang Yani and Lian Junjie will be making their first appearance in the world championships.
"A mixture of youth and experience has been a tradition of the Chinese diving team. Now we are focusing on grooming the younger generation," said Zhou Jihong, head of the Chinese diving team.
