JAKARTA, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian national police on Thursday said the Islamic State (IS) group was believed to have linkages with the suicide bombings near a bus stop in the country's capital that killed two bombers and three policemen late Wednesday.

National police spokesman Senior Commissioner Awi Setiyono said the explosion also injured 10 others, including civilians and five policemen.

The spokesman said the bombing was parts of a global terrorist movement, which is strongly linked with the IS group.

The spokesman said the two suicide bombers had used pressure cooker bombs in the two explosions that occurred at 9:00 p.m. and 9:05 p.m. local time respectively.

Police are investigating the incident, including the strength of the bombs, he added.

Indonesian security authorities have been on alert and monitoring the movement of dozens of citizens back home from joining the IS activities in Syria.
