WARSAW, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Polish President Andrzej Duda expressed solidarity with Britain and objection to terrorism on Tuesday, following the deadly terrorist attack at the Manchester Arena on Monday.
"Please accept our deep sympathy. This act of violence aroused in all of us firm objection and a feeling of solidarity with the victims and their families," Duda wrote in a condolence message to British Queen Elizabeth II, adding that terrorism was "a deadly challenge for our civilization".
He also emphasized the need to stand together in defense of European values, the freedom and security of citizens.
Calling terrorism "a source of one of the most serious crises affecting our world today", the president ensured that Poland was and would remain a member of the anti-terrorist coalition.
"We need to take a determined and active stand, and say a decided 'no' to murderers of innocent people," he said.
Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo also condemned the act of terror and violence.
At least 22 people were killed and about 59 injured after a terrorist attack on Monday night at a concert in Manchester.
