HANOI, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Tuesday sent a message of condolence to his British counterpart over the explosion in Manchester, condemning terrorist attack in any form.

Vietnam also offered deep sympathy to the British government, people and families of victims in the blast, said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang.

Vietnam strongly condemns any terrorist attack in any form and holds that all terrorist acts must be severely punished, she said.

The explosion on Monday evening killed at least 22 people and injured 59 others, becoming the deadliest attack in Britain over the past decade.

By Tuesday evening, there had been no report about Vietnamese nationals affected by the blast, citing the Vietnamese embassy.
