Xi's envoy to attend Ecuador's presidential handover ceremony

BEIJING, May 19 (Xinhua) -- A special envoy of President Xi Jinping will attend the Ecuadorial presidential handover ceremony in Quito on May 24, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said Friday.

Xi's special envoy, Minister of Education Chen Baosheng, will attend the ceremony at the invitation of the government of the Republic of Ecuador, Hua said.

Ecuador's president-elect Lenin Moreno will assume office on May 24.
