U.S. stocks close higher after Macron wins French election

NEW YORK, May 8 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks closed slightly higher Monday as investors were looking for fresh catalysts following Emmanuel Macron's victory in French presidential election.

The Dow gained 0.03 percent, and the S&P 500 increased less than 0.01 percent, while the Nasdaq added 0.03 percent.
