SEOUL, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Seoul shares opened higher on Tuesday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) advanced 15.23 points, or 0.69 percent, to trade at 2,220.67 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
South Korea's currency was quoted at 1,134.70 won against the U.S. dollar, up 3.20 won from the previous close.
