HO CHI MINH CITY, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's National Archery Championship 2017 kicked off on Monday in southern Vinh Long province, to select top athletes for regional competitions.
Nearly 150 archers from 16 cities and provinces are vying for 32 sets of medals.
Outstanding archers will either be added to the national team for intensive training, or compete at big regional tournaments. The most prominent archers will compete at the Southeast Asian Games 2017 in Malaysia.
The championship will last till April 23.
