SYDNEY, March 4 (Xinhua) -- A 5.9-magnitude earthquake hit off Papua New Guinea, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said on Saturday.
The quake, which occurred at 0258 GMT, was centered 114 km south of Bougainville Island, according to the USGS.
