OTTAWA, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke Saturday by phone with his British counterpart Theresa May, vowing to promote inclusion and diversity to counter all forms of radicalization,said the Canadian Prime Minister's Office.
May offered her condolences over the tragic shooting at a mosque in the Sainte-Foy neighborhood of the city of Quebec, said the office.
At least six people were killed and eight others wounded when gunmen opened fire at the mosque during evening prayers on Jan. 29.
Two suspects were reportedly arrested in connection with the attack, which Trudeau described as a "terrorist attack on Muslims."
Meanwhile, the two prime ministers reaffirmed their shared commitment to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the G7 and the G20.
They also discussed their commitment to promoting progressive free trade and investment, including the timely ratification and implementation of the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), according to the office.
