KIEV, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Ukrainian state-run defense conglomerate Ukroboronprom increased sales by 28 percent in 2015, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has said.
Ukroboronprom sold 870 million U.S. dollars worth of military products last year, compared with 680 million dollars in 2014, SIPRI said in a report unveiled in Kiev on Friday.
With the result, the company moved 11 spots to the 81st place in SIPRI's top 100 arms-producing and military services companies, the report said.
Companies headquartered in the United States and Western Europe continue to dominate the global arms industry, with the U.S.-based Lockheed Martin remaining the largest arms producer in the world.
Established in 2010, Ukroboronprom unites more than 100 Ukrainian defense industry enterprises.
