Negotiation is being made with ethnic groups in regions and states to analyze the existing facts and figures issued by international organizations in order to release the correct and exact data of ethnic minorities, an official of the Ministry of Labor, Immigration and Population was quoted as saying.
The ministry has carried out check on figures and data of the 2014 national population and housing census with the technical support of an independent international body.
Myanmar collected national population and housing statistics every 10 years.
