RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- At least four people have died and another 43 people injured after a bus crashed into a truck in Brazil's southeastern state of Sao Paulo, the Federal Highway Police said on Monday.
The bus filled with pilgrims crashed into the back of the truck transporting sugar cane on Sunday night in the municipality of Mogi Guacu, in Sao Paulo state, the police said.
Reasons behind the crash were still unknown.
At least 13 of the injured pilgrims were in a serious state and had been transported to nearby hospitals. The bus driver was among the injured.
According to the Highway Police, the front part of the bus was completely destroyed as a consequence of the accident.
