Vietnamese tennis player crowned at Men's Futures F5

HO CHI MINH CITY, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's top tennis player Ly Hoang Nam defeated his Japanese rival in the men's singles final of the Men's Futures F5 in southern Vietnam on Sunday.

It took the 19-year-old Vietnamese player one hour and a half to beat Masato Shiga 6-4 in the final match in southern Binh Duong province. Shiga is four years older than Nam, and currently ranked 631st in the world.

Men's Futures tennis series, including 9 events from F1 to F9, are running from July 25 to Nov. 6 in Binh Duong, with the participation of 68 players from 41 countries and regions.

Men's Futures are a series of professional tennis tournaments held around the world by the International Tennis Federation.
