NEW YORK, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge at 17:49:31 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 9.79 km, was initially determined to be at 14.5919 degrees north latitude and 45.116 degrees west longitude.
