YANGON, June 14 (Xinhua) -- Three air crews were killed in a military helicopter crash near Taik Oo township, Myanmar's southern Bago region, on Tuesday morning, military sources said.

The military helicopter MI-2, which was on flight from Meikhtila to Mawby, crashed into a vine near a creek on Yangon-Mandalay highway at about 11:30 a.m. local time due to bad weather condition.

The helicopter, after repair, started its flight from Meiktila air base to Myeik's air base at 8:40 a.m. After making a stopover at Toungoo airbase for fuel filling, the helicopter set out again at 11:00 a.m.to Mawby and then crashed with the aircraft burned, the sources added.
