YANGON, June 14 (Xinhua) -- A woman has been killed by crocodile in Myanmar's delta region but her remains have not been recovered, official media reported Tuesday.
The victim, 29-year-old Ma Khaing Khaing Oo, was believed to be swallowed by the crocodile when she was cleaning a bucket in a nearby river at the weekend.
Meinmahla Kyun Wild Sanctuary, located at the mouth of Ayeyawaddy River in the delta region, was famous for crocodile hatching camps and mangrove forests which have grown along the riverside.
Wildlife conservation groups are alerting villagers that crocodiles pose a threat in the area.
