‘You’ll face hell for eternity’ — Kidnap monster Ariel Castro jailed for 1,000 years
KIDNAP monster Ariel Castro was today handed a 1,000 YEAR life term without parole - as one of his victims told him he will "face hell for eternity".
Castro, 53, held three sex slaves in his house in Cleveland, Ohio, for more than a DECADE.
Michelle Knight, 32, Amanda Berry, 27, and Gina DeJesus, 23, were subjected to the most harrowing conditions under vile Castro who raped, beat, and starved the women over a decade.
He was convicted of 937 charges including multiple rapes, aggravated murder and violent assault but still tried to claim sex with the women was consensual.
Today Michelle Knight - who was held for 11 years - said her captor's hell is only just beginning.
Before sentencing she gave an emotional speech in court saying she FORGAVE Castro.
Weeping, She said: "I spent 11 years in hell, now your hell is just beginning. You will face hell for eternity."
Victims ... Gina DeJesus, Amanda Berry and Michelle Knight
She added: "From this moment on, I will not let you define me or affect who I am. I will live on, you will die a little every day."
Before he was sentenced Castro stood up to address the court and incredibly said he is a "happy person inside".
He said: "I believe I am addicted to porn to the point that it really makes me impulsive and I just don't realise what I'm doing is wrong.
"To be a musician and to be a monster like you're trying to say that I am - I don't think I can handle that - I'm a happy person inside."
On the eve of his hearing, a prosecutor said Castro “admits his disgusting and inhuman conduct” but “remains remorseless”.
New details of the sick ordeal his victims endured emerged yesterday when it was revealed he threatened to kill them and played Russian roulette with a loaded gun.
Castro also chained his petrified captives by their ankles and kept them locked in a dark room.
On one occasion he locked all three women in a vehicle in his garage for three days while he had a visitor.
Dungeon ... model of home is shown in court
He even punched one pregnant woman in the stomach until she miscarried.
Last week Castro withdrew his not-guilty plea to 937 counts including kidnapping, rape, and aggravated murder to avoid the death penalty.
When asked if he understood he would never be released from prison, Castro said: "I knew I was pretty much going to get the book thrown at me."
The three women went missing in Cleveland between 2002 and 2004.
Castro was arrested in May after one of the women trapped in his house escaped and cried for help.
Sick ... Castro's home is set to be demolished
The three women were rescued after Amanda kicked open a door and called the police with the help of a neighbour.
When officials arrived they rescued Michelle and Gina as well as Amanda's six-year-old daughter, fathered by Castro.
The house where the women were held is due to be demolished.
