Doctors provide medical service to residents on Lingshan Island of Qingdao

Doctor Zhou Zhaojing takes a boat to the Lingshan Island of Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province, Aug. 16, 2019. The Lingshan Island is located some nine sea miles southeast off the west coast of Qingdao. Since 2013, the west coast new area has dispatched medical staff members to work by turns on the island. The 40-year-old Zhou was selected in 2018 as a general practitioner to work at the island's health service center. Despite harsh working and living conditions, Zhou and his colleagues never get slack at their work to provide medical service to some 2,500 residents on the island. (Xinhua/Guo Xulei)
