Northeast China's Jilin Province is stepping up efforts building makeshift hospitals and temporary quarantine facilities to combat the latest resurgence of COVID-19.
The province reported 742 confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and 415 local asymptomatic carriers Wednesday.
On Tuesday evening, a convention center-turned makeshift hospital with 1,500 beds was put into use in the capital city of Changchun.
As of Wednesday, eight makeshift hospitals, with nearly 11,500 beds, had been built in Jilin. #GLOBALink
