BEIJING, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed mixed on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.48 percent, at 3,396.47 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.24 percent higher at 13,528.31 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices stood at 671.4 billion yuan (about 102.58 billion U.S. dollars), down from 775.7 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
Shares related to digital currency and COVID-19 testing saw strong performances, while those related to Hainan free trade port and electricity led the losses.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 0.84 percent to close at 2,742.85 points. Enditem
