ROME, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Sassuolo ended its three-game winless run in Serie A with a 1-0 away victory over Benevento on Monday, thanks to an own goal from Federico Barba.
Sassuolo dominated the game from the beginning but failed to find the net until the dying minutes of the first-half when Jeremy Boga sprinted into the box and rolled across, Barba accidentally prodded it into his own net.
Boga had the chance to double the lead in the 67th minute, but his attempt hit the crossbar.
Sassuolo's goalkeeper Andrea Consigli was also decisive as his double-save in stoppages time helped his side leave with three points.
Sassuolo ranks eighth with 43 points, while Benevento places 16th with 30. Enditem
