ACCRA, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Ghanaian midfielders Mubarak Wakaso and Frank Acheampong, who both play for the country's senior national team the Black Stars, have been signed by the Chinese Super League side Shenzhen FC, local media reported Monday.

Oliver Konig, agent for Acheampong, said: "Many clubs were interested in signing Frank. Not only the Chinese clubs, but we also had concrete offers as well."

"Finally, Shenzhen turned out to present the most exciting project to Frank. He agreed on a four-year deal because his ambitions and the club's ambitions matched pretty well. Frank will try his best to build a legacy there such as he did in Tianjin," he added.

Wakaso became a free agent in March after Jiangsu Suning FC ceased operations after a year with them in which he helped the club win the 2020 Chinese league while Acheampong parted ways with Tianjin Jinmen Tiger, two years after signing a new contract which was expected to end in June 2022.
