BRATISLAVA, April 11 (Xinhua) -- The final round of the regular season of the Slovak basketball premiership SBL on Saturday determined the pairings for the upcoming playoffs as league leaders Levice Patriots lost to Iskra Svit 82-88.
The visitors' third consecutive triumph confirmed their third spot in the standings, which means that they will face BC Prievidza in the quarterfinals. Svit's American shooting guard De'Sean Parsons finished the night with a double-double for 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Fourth-ranked Inter Bratislava stopped a three-game losing streak by crushing Prievidza 88-35 on Saturday. Their quarterfinal opponent will be BKM Lucenec which finished the season with a 94-87 victory over last-ranked MBK Banik Handlova.
Inter Bratislava finished with an easy win against BC Prievidza 88-35, but lost their chance to finish third as Svit won over Patriots.
Handlova leader from Montenegro Nikola Rakocevic exploded offensively with 39 points, but it was not enough to bring the visitors to victory. Handlova lost to BKM Lucenec 94-87, handing the latter first win in four games. Enditem
