MIAMI, April 8 (Xinhua) -- The preliminary phase of the CONCACAF Gold Cup will be held in Miami from July 2 to 6, the Confederation of North and Central American Football said on Thursday.
Six matches will be played in the first round on July 2 and 3, with the winners to meet on July 6 for a place in the main draw.
"The past year has been very challenging in our region," CONCACAF president Victor Montagliani said in a statement published on the entity's official website.
"We hope the opportunity to watch the best men's national teams in CONCACAF compete in our flagship tournament can provide fans with some hope and enjoyment."
The Gold Cup group stage will take place from July 10 to August 1 at venues yet to be announced.
The United States, Canada, Martinique, Mexico, El Salvador, Curacao, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Suriname, Honduras, Panama, Grenada and guest team Qatar have already secured berths in the group stage.
Following is the match schedule for rounds one and two of the preliminary stage:

Match 1: Haiti vs St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Match 2: Guatemala vs Guyana
Match 3: Trinidad and Tobago vs Monserrat
Match 4: Cuba vs French Guiana
Match 5: Guadeloupe vs Bahamas
Match 6: Bermuda vs Barbados
