SHANGHAI, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai reported three new locally transmitted confirmed cases of COVID-19 and three new imported confirmed cases on Saturday, the municipal health commission said on Sunday.
The imported cases are currently undergoing treatment in medical institutions and their 66 close contacts have been put under centralized quarantine.
The three local cases were either close contacts of, or live in the same community of a confirmed case reported on Thursday.
So far, five of their close contacts have been placed under medical observation in designated facilities. The places they visited have been disinfected.
As of Saturday, 1,280 imported confirmed cases and 361 locally transmitted confirmed cases had been reported in Shanghai. Enditem
