GUANGZHOU, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Shenzhen advanced to the women's team final following a five-set victory over Heilongjiang, while Shandong Weiqiao comfortably shook off Shantou in the men's team semifinals of the 2020 China Table Tennis Super League (CTTSL) on Sunday.

The pair of Qi Fei and Kuai Man offered Heilongjiang a morale-boosting start overcoming Wang Yidi/Sun Yingsha 11-8, 7-11, 11-7, 16-14.

Shenzhen's Chen Meng and Sun Yingsha, who recently shone in international competitions, met little resistance before conquering Sun Mingyang and Kuai in straight games.

Sun Mingyang kept Heilongjiang's hope of marching forward alive after beating Wang 11-3, 7-11, 11-4, 13-11, but it was soon extinguished by world top-ranked Chen, who used three games to get past Qi.

Shenzhen will either face Shandong Luneng or Beijing in Tuesday's final.

Lin Yun-Ju/Zhou Qihao earned an opening doubles victory for Shandong Weiqiao, which extended their advantage as Liang Jingkun won a highly-anticipated duel over Lin Gaoyuan in full games. Zhou secured a final berth for Shandong Weiqiao after beating Zhou Yu in straight games.

Shandong Weiqiao awaits the winner between Shandong Luneng and Shanghai in the final. Enditem
