PARIS, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- German skier Vinzenz Geiger pocketed his second World Cup victory in as many days at the Austrian venue of Ramsau am Dachstein on Sunday, beating Jarl Magnus Riiber of Norway in the closing stage of the race and only by 0.2 seconds in the end.

Riiber had to rank second again in the back-to-back world cup events at Austria's famous skiing resort, while Fabian Riessle from Germany took third.

The Norwegian again topped the jump, just like what he did on Saturday, hitting 98 meters to take a lead of six seconds over runner-up Yoshito Watabe of Japan into the race, 15 seconds ahead of title favorite Geiger.

But it proved again that 15 seconds was easy for the German to make up as he joined the leading group by the end of the second lap and managed to form a head-to-head sprint against Riiber in the last lap.

On the last hard uphill, Geiger was trying to outsprint Riiber but could not get rid of the tough man. The battle continued to the finish line as Geiger only won by 0.2 seconds.

Home duo Lukas Greiderer and Johannes Lamparter finished fourth and fifth respectively. Enditem
