GUIZHOU, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Expressway mileage in southwest China's Guizhou Province will reach 7,600 kilometers by the end of 2020, said the local transportation department.
During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), the province has invested about 725.8 billion yuan (110.9 billion U.S. dollars) in constructing expressways.
The mountainous province has vowed to achieve the target of 10,000 kilometers of expressways by 2022.
Guizhou has been making efforts to improve its transportation networks. All counties in the province have been connected by expressways by 2015. All villages have been connected by asphalt roads by 2017.
